ICLEI's mission is to build and serve a worldwide movement of local governments to achieve tangible improvements in global environmental and sustainable development conditions through cumulative local actions.
ICLEI coordinates the EDITOSIA (Electronic Distance Training on Sustainability in African Local Governments)project which is financed by the European Commission - Directorate General for Research.
The EDITOSIA project aims to explore the suitability of innovative electronic distance training schemes for increasing the knowledge about sustainability within local government in Africa.
