On-line training for archivists

This project of the Association internationale des Archives francophones (AIAF) aims at using the Internet for professional training of archivists.
The UNESCO supported initiative aims at providing on line training and re-training facilities for French speaking records and archives managers.

UNESCO supports the project as part of its efforts to promote human resources and capabilities of information workers, particularly by developing training modules for distance learning, for example for librarians and archivists.

The AIAF project aims to provide to French speaking archivists a common platform for exchanging information and for training. It intends to provide through a single gateway a variety of resources facilitating re-training and continuous training and assisting in archival teaching and research thereby promoting exchanges between professional communities.
