Slave Trade Archives Project

Mapping the access to and preservation of original archive materials.
The Slave Trade Archives Project, initiated by UNESCO, is concerned with the access to and preservation of original archive materials relating to the slave trade.

The project, which is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), will be implemented within the framework of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme, in collaboration with the International Scientific Committee for UNESCO's "Slave Route" Project and with the International Council on Archives (ICA).
