A photographic exhibition organised by UNESCO’s Communication and Information Sector in cooperation with the Permanent Delegation of Sudan to UNESCO opened at UNESCO Headquarters on 31 October 2008. The images provided by Photo Sudan Network represent a broad swathe of the Sudanese life and culture.
The Photo Sudan Network is the first photographic agency in Sudan. It was established with UNESCO’s support and aims to promote the diversity of Sudan through its outstanding photographic resources provided by a talented group of local photographers. The Network encourages intercultural dialogue to maintain cultural vitality within Sudan and to reach new audiences outside the country.
The exhibition is part of the Mois de la Photo (Month of Photography) organised in Paris by the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (European House of the Photography). The exhibition will be displayed until 14 November 2008 (Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.) at the following address:

Mohammed Noureldine was awarded Grand Prix ACCU World Photo Contest 1995, with this picture taken in Sudan.
