Synthetic map on "the slave trades , 7th-19th century" (Eastern and Western trade.)
This project aims at making available and preserving original archival documents related to the Slave Trade Archives.
Sponsored by UNESCO and organized by the National Archives of Cuba, the meeting presented works on the digitisation of archives, on CD-ROMs and web sites, showing the richness of historical documents, which cover almost 400 years of a history not always known, on the tens of millions of Africans who were victims of the slave trade.
The successful meeting held from 22 to 24 November 2004 in Havana, Cuba gathered more than 25 delegates from 11 countries.
