These TY productions have been selected among more than 100 films from audio-visual directors and filmmakers from more than 50 countries by an independent, professional jury. They were submitted to UNESCO and the Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT) of India further to a call for proposals earlier this summer

Participation conditions have been directly communicated to selected filmmakers. UNESCO and PSBT thank all filmmakers having submitted their productions for this initiative, held annually since 2002 and aiming at promoting the expression of cultural and linguistic diversity through the audiovisual language, by stimulating the showcasing and distribution of diversified media content from all regions of the world.

The submitted films are also being considered for UNESCO’s Audiovisual E-platform, an on-line catalogue and exchange mechanism for outstanding productions from all over the world. The final selection for the E-platform will be announced separately at a later stage.
