Although the translations of the Treaty of Vitruve were very numerous in the XVIth Century, this one represents a remarkable work of "humanist". Lázaro de Velasco, author of the translation, introduced some erudit notes which give us artistic and historical information on Grenade of the time, when coexisted Islamic cultures, Castilian and Italian, but also the cultures of other countries, including America which just had been conquered.
