JourNet, the global network of journalism and media schools, established in 1999 under the auspices of UNESCO includes both universities and industry training centres (see www.journet.org).
In November 2005, prior to Phase II of the World Summit on the Information Society in Tunis, JourNet will meet to continue considering successful new approaches to professional education for journalism and the media. Particular attention will be given to the use of new technology.
JourNet invites reports of successful new approaches to the design and delivery of courses and programs of study. Proposals are welcome in English or French and should be 500 words in length. Presentations will be approx 20 minutes in duration and the published version will be a maximum of 4000 words in length.
Submissions should be made to the Conference Director, Prof Ridha NAJAR, CAPJC, Tunis (capjc@email.ati.tn — www.capjc.nat.tn ) by 1 September 2005. |
