Directors and assistant directors of state and private broadcasting corporations from 12 Arab countries started a one week training course on modern broadcasting management in Qatar’s capital Doha yesterday.
The course at the Aljazeera Media Training and Development Centre (JMTDC) is funded by UNESCO’s International Programme for Development Communication (IPDC). It aims at enhancing the participants' managerial skills and developing their opportunities in marketing and self-financing.
The course programme considers different aspects of training such as: modern methods of broadcasting management, the basic principles of strategic planning and management, marketing and financial management, production management, quality control, programme appraisal, editorial principles and codes of practice. The training course which is to be held twice - each course lasting a week - is in line with the cooperation established between JMTDC and UNESCO to support and develop Arab Media performance.
