The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) announces that it would organize a training seminar for teachers and teacher trainers Retraining of School Educators on the Application of ICTs in Education from 26 to 31 May 2003 in Druskinenkai, Lithuania.
The seminar is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. The seminar grounds on the IITE instruction materials Elementary ICT Curriculum for Teacher Training. It is a part of IITE's regular training activity.
Teacher trainers, instruction support specialists and school administrators are the target group of this event which is aimed to promote developing strategies and syllabi for ICT integration in general education. During the plenary session international specialists from Austria, Norway and Russian Federation will share their experience on the basic issues of ICT integration in secondary education. The participants will also in tutorials modelling real projects of ICT integration in teaching/learning process. The IITE, based in Moscow, Russian Federation, is an autonomous Institute, forming an integral part of UNESCO. It's aim is to contribute to the design and implementation of programmes in regard to the application of information and communication technologies in education (ICTs). Related themes/countries
